As the Co-Founder and President of Walacor Corp, Lara leads a company that focuses on distressed residential whole loans and REO asset management with a strong emphasis on quantitative analysis and technology-driven solutions. Additionally, she is the Co-Founder of MCM, a prominent distressed asset fund manager and operator with a proven track record in managing residential assets across the United States.

Lara’s expertise extends to blockchain technology and fintech, where she has been an active investor through Blockchain Management, LLC. Her interest in emerging technologies, including Web3, has positioned her as a thought leader in the evolving landscape of financial innovation.

Before her entrepreneurial ventures, Lara held various leadership positions in major financial institutions, including Citi, where she focused on asset management, securitizations, and private lending, as well as real estate lending. Her career began at Arthur Andersen as an accountant, giving her a solid foundation in financial operations and management.
